Art Deco Club Chair

About the Item

A rare and unusual English Art Deco aviator-style club chair in oak. The supple cognac leather fluted back complements the generous leather hide spring box seat. The box arms have symmetrical decorations of the period and are all raised on oak bun feet. The chair has recesses on either side of the arms that would have been used to store newspapers and magazines. The chair has been sympathetically restored with new springs to the seat and the original leather has been cleaned and conditioned to bring out its vibrant, rich colour. English, circa 1920.
