Art Nouveau Chairs Pair Designed by Paul Mathieu for Stephanie Odegard

About the Item

"Introducing the Art Nouveau Chairs Pair, a stunning set of Art Nouveau chairs designed by the renowned Paul Mathieu for Stephanie Odegard. These elegant Art Nouveau chairs boast a unique curved profile that exudes a sophisticated and timeless charm, making them the perfect addition to any modern or classic interior. Crafted with utmost care and attention to detail, these Art Nouveau chairs are made to order and are available in twelve metal clad finishes, ensuring that you can choose the perfect one to match your individual style and taste. The use of high-quality materials and expert craftsmanship ensure that each chair is not only beautiful but also a true piece of art. The curved legs and side arms of these Art Nouveau chairs are hand-carved from solid pieces of teak. Pattern makers trace and cut complex forms that will cover the chair in a skin of copper or purest silver (assayed at 96% purity, beyond sterling at 92.5%). The metal finishes will tarnish over time. Regular non-abrasive household metal polishes can be used to restore the original lustre. Overall, if you're looking for a piece of furniture that combines luxury, comfort, and style, then the Art Nouveau Chairs Pair is an excellent choice. With their distinctive curved profile and multiple finish options, this chair set is sure to elevate the look of any room it is placed in and be a beloved addition to your home for years to come. Art Nouveau Chairs Pair Designed by Paul Mathieu for Stephanie Odegard Size: 26"" L x 27"" W x 33"" H Materials: White Bronze Metal sheet, Teak, Wood, Metal Techniques: Cast, Hand-Crafted, Hand-Carved, Metal Work, Wood Work, Polished Please note that moisture in the air, sudden changes in temperature, and natural movement of wood over time may cause the metal to wrinkle or bubble up. We use well-seasoned, reclaimed teak and high-quality marine-grade MDF (wherever technically possible) to avoid and delay the above-mentioned changes. However, a perfect stability of the metal cannot be guaranteed. Please note that our smooth finish metal-clad pieces may have some unavoidable tool marks. This is proof that everything is done by hand. The smooth finish will not come out like a machine-made perfect surface, and the master artisan will do their best to make it look as good, clean, stable, and perfect as they possibly can."

Louis XV chairs pair designed by Paul Mathieu for Stephanie Odegard. He chose the name “Louise” when he created his more feminine version of Louis XV furniture and this elegant pair of Louis XV Chairs. The characteristic cabriole leg, curving outward at the knee and inward towards the foot in an "S" shape was born during Louis XV period. It is during the same era that English furniture makers produced the Queen Anne and Chippendale styles. The style of 18th-century French furniture was guided by the court. When Louis XV, who reigned from 1715–74, focused royal life on the smaller salons of Versailles rather than its grand chambers, it transformed the aesthetics away from the imposing and angular furniture that characterized the style of Louis XIV. A broader focus on comfort and more delicate forms define antique Louis XV furniture...
