A remarkable pair of Diagonal Chairs designed in 1927 by Dutch industrial design pioneer Willem Hendrik Gispen, produced by Gispen in the 1970s. These chairs are a refined reissue of a Bauhaus-era classic, expertly capturing the modernist ethos of the original design while embodying the craftsmanship of a later production period.
The chairs feature elegantly bent tubular steel frames with the signature diagonal leg structure that gives them their name. This geometric form was revolutionary for its time and remains strikingly contemporary.
