About the Item
This chair, model "Escandinávia", was designed by José Espinho, for Olaio, in Portugal, in 1956. This was one of José Espinho first designs that was stripped both of ornaments and any neo-rustic or historicist influences, it was a simple and geometrical design. Colored synthetic leather upholstered on the seat and backrest with capitone in a contrasting white. The structure is in chestnut wood and both structure and upholstered is in original and good vintage condition. The synthetic leather has some age related signs like stains and scratches.
