About the Item

Circa 1860 pair carved hall chairs, English. Mahogany. Raised on boldly turned legs. The backs are of c-scrolled cartouche design centering a sculpted space for a crest. Great old finish, crusty in spots. Re-braced with blocks underneath the seat for added strength & stability. Condition commensurate with age and use. 15 3/8" w., 16.5" d., 32.5" h.
