Fine G1V Mahogany Daws Patent improved Recumbent chair circa 1830,
This improved Recumbent chair was patented by Daws circa 1830,
Described :
[ by elevating a spring beneath the arm of the chair. Where the hand rests,
it may be converted into a couch, & any required inclination given to the back & arms;
& by drawing out a sliding stool beneath, the length may be increased,]
This chair press buttons under each arm, to recline. There is brass ratchet teeth to hold the chair back into different positions,
pull out stool, beneath seat with fold down legs,
Stamps on back chair legs R.Daws Patent with G R & CROWN,
Also brass embossed inset plaque,
WIV scroll carving under arms, tulip carving on front legs.
