In the ’50s Acapulco was a refuge of Pacific tranquillity, where cocktails were served to Hollywood’s greatest stars on sunny terraces overlooking the Acapulco Bay. Elvis Presley, Elisabeth Taylor, and John Wayne were some of many who fell in love with Acapulco at the time. The Original Acapulco Chair ® is a minimal and comfortable piece of furniture that is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. The Acapulco chair exudes a modern and minimalist aesthetic that effortlessly complements any decor, from the dining or living room to the garden or bedroom. The Original Acapulco Chair® is made of powder-coated metal with excellent UV filtered, PVC cord, free of phthalates and heavy metals. The cord is flexible and allows excellent sitting comfort. The sitting position is laid back and loungy and the oval shape allows support in the neck. It can be combined with the Acapulco and Condesa cushions for extra sitting comfort. The chair comes with protective felt pads for interior use and rubber glides for exterior use. OK Design was founded by the Danish couple: Jacob Fasting and Kirsten Krogh. Jacob began his entrepreneurial life by founding the first bicycle courier company in Mexico City. Later his adventurous spirit led him down a new, creative path together with the architect Kirsten Krogh. Kirsten and Jacob initiated their success in Europe by introducing the traditional woven furniture from Mexico. Today they create in-house furniture as well as work in collaboration with international designers. OK Design is based in Copenhagen, the environmentally friendly production takes place in the EU, and the designs are sold in more than 40 countries worldwide. Their latest endeavour is Stella Atlántico in Isla de la Palma. A 4 floor building reaching towards the stars and located on the rim of the world’s largest erosion crater. Stella Atlántico functions as a combined visual showroom and holiday home.
