Four 17th Century Yorkshire Chairs/ Backstools.

About the Item

A good set of four Yorkshire backstools consisting of three and one similar. Having turned legs and front stretchers. The shaped back crests with carved scrolls, central flower heads and acorn pendants. The uprights with scrolled terminals and split spindle appliques. The three chairs are of an excellent colour, of good original condition having just tipped feet. The chair to the right has slightly different carving to the two shaped splats, also this chair has been restored in the past and has a later seat and front legs. All chairs are structurally sound and robust with no loose joints. Seat height of 43 cm.Please don't hesitate to contact us with any queries or to request additional photos.
