Set of 8 dining chairs, oak and leather, France, 1940s This set of 8 French dining chairs has a sturdy design, with strong proportions. The frame consists of bulky lines of which the front legs are straight and thick, while the hinge legs are tapered and slanted. A nice visual aspect of the chairs are the leather woven seats and backs that emphasize the rural character. The cognac brown leather have a nice patina, and they fit well to the tone of the oak.
