At the forefront of the scene, there is once again a partnership with Philippe Nigro, who has designed the new BEAULIEU chair in bent beechwood for GTV, where the curves, assembled like a construction kit, meet to create the back and armrests, making it possible to obtain two types of seat with just a few changes: a chair and a comfortable armchair. For Philippe Nigro, designing a new chair for Gebrüder Thonet Vienna also involves exploring poetic imagery: one that is attributable to the company's ability, for almost 150 years, to transcend time periods with incredible nonchalance. In this project, Philippe Nigro draws on the lightness and sophistication typical of a symbolic place of this period such as Beaulieu, on the Côte d'Azur, from which the chair takes its name.
