Georgian Revival Eclectic Set, Unique Set English Style Each in Different Design

About the Item

Beautiful set of 6 chairs and two armchairs. Made of eight different style of chairs. This group was made with the Chippendale and Hepplewhite style chairs that were collected over the years. From the same collection of the Biedermeier groups, we were able to make a set of 8 different styles adding to the set of 6 chairs two armchairs. This is the Georgian set, we grouped the Queen Ann separately. The eclecticism here is really brought to involve also the finish. Some chairs are painted, others have had a antique finish. Some are showing incredible carvings detail. I believe none of the chairs are Georgian originals, they probably belong to the Victorian revival of this style which was made in several areas of Europe. Again the purpose is to have a set that breaks with the tradition and to make every chair unique and something that can not be repeated. The idea of grouping in eclectic sets has been the best way to evaluate a collection of single pieces, going back to be used as they were intended to be. Just an unique set for a customer who wants his home to speak about not having repetitions. Each guest is special and different from the other so why and shouldn't the chairs be like that! From a Biedermeier and XIX century collector in Verona, chairs will be sent as they are or complimentary reupholstered and with a French polish and wax refreshment layer. A few splitting on the veins will be restored before shipping. Listed measure is the first one on the left of the upper row. Complete list of measures will be sent on request. Listed as country of origin England however this sets has a wider area belonging and probably has styles coming from the whole English XIX century area. Here the measures of the first two from the left of each row upper left height 98,5 cm, width 59,5 cm, depth 50 cm lower left height 95 cm, width 56 cm, depth 56 cm.
