About the Item
Sculpted with bold curvature, the M_013 Dining Chair merges soft volumes with a stark, intersecting silhouette. The striking form, defined by its low T-shaped backrest, is both solid and airy, using negative space to create a dynamic interplay of balance and support.
NYC-based design studio Monolith focuses on collectible furniture and homeware by exalting natural beauty through heavy constructions and clean shapes. The studios debut collection "Sanctuary" takes form via nine designs that comprise of chairs, tables and more crafted from stone and wood.
Specifically, the collection utilizes locally sourced Jalapa Travertine, White Oak, Recinto Negro and Walnut. The pieces’ natural materials are enhanced by curved and straight-edge modular designs that convey of sense of contemporary refinement.
