About the Item

This elegant and understated armchair was realized in the United States, circa 1950. It offers a gently reclined back with three button details and curvilinear arms that curve upwards where they meet the angled back support. It sits on hand rubbed conical walnut legs- the front are straight, while the hind legs descend at an angle, imbuing the piece with a subtle dynamism. The chair also has a rectangular apron that circumscribes the perimeter of the piece. It has been newly reupholstered in a dove gray woven fabric with a subtle rectilinear weave. With its timeless form and clean lines, this handsome armchair would be a winning addition to any style of interior from Classic Mid-Century Modern to contemporary. It has been newly reupholstered and restored to mint condition. American, circa 1950. Dimensions: 28" D x 27.25" W x 29" H Seat height 16.75".
