Dimitrih Correa
Dimitrih Correa is a designer and craftsman from Rio de Janeiro. Graduated in industrial design, he studied in the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and Dublin Institute of Technology. He works from the concept and design of the product until its production and finishing. His passion literally comes from his baby crib. His own, was handmade by his father, that during the 80/90’s used to collect and work with reclaimed hardwoods. When Dimitrih goes to University he is presented to the design universe and starts to develop woodworking skills, being able to make products in a responsible way for a better world. Working only with the very best and rare reclaimed hardwoods, discovered from long searches around Rio old buildings. Sometimes very damaged by time and weather but when they receive proper treatment, the beauty once forgotten, shines again, revealing truly amazing materials. From then on he already conquered many awards and national and international attention, participating in several exhibitions in Rio, Brussels, Milan and São Paulo and being recognized with awards for his designs. Nowadays he is represented also by Galerie Revel and Galerie Philia. The Atelier is located at the Center of Rio de Janeiro.
Customers can choose from different colors for metal painting and different hardwood species.
