Modern Steel Chair by Dario Cipelletti for NOBE Italia Pendolo Steel Wood Gold
About the Item
The elegant and exclusive Pendolo chairs combine elementary but at the same time audacious geometries giving life to a singular sits with five legs. The wood material is revisited through a superficial burn process. The italian artisans make use of the ancient Japanese technique called Shou Sugi Ban, in which the surface is burned with a high flame and making it assume that characteristic color.
The material takes on a different connotation by telling a path and assuming forms independent from the hand of man.
The irregularity of the new surface and the geometric purity of the structures create a continuous game of contrasts. The processing is entirely handmade by italian artisan.
Each beautiful Pendolo chair is unique.

The wood charring process causes the creation of a typical superficial coat; it is possible that some small parts of that coat will detouch from the piece of wood itself with time passing.
