About the Item

A beautiful rare pair of Hollywood Regency-style accent chairs by Hickory Chair N.C. This rare pair features faux bamboo frames with caned backs which make an interesting focal point for the eye while the gentle subtle outward-splay back legs balance the bamboo frame. The sculpted open arms over the bamboo supports is an impressive form. Each retains the original green glazed leatherette seats, with original manufacturer tag on underside (Hickory Chair N.C.) The faux bamboo and cane have developed into a warm patina that is only derived by age and use. The gracious sized seats have a thick attached cushion adding comfort and style, and are covered in a glazed olive green leatherette and adorned with antique brass nailhead trim. The comfortable design of the wide padded seat allows for extremely comfortable seating. These early Hollywood Regency-style chairs in their original finish display a patina that has mellowed into a soft warm color. These amazing chairs are a perfect marriage of classic design and comfort and will enhance any room in your home or office.
