About the Item
Vintage pair of Laverne model 1-LC sling chairs, otherwise known as the "New York" lounge chair. Designed in 1953 by architects William Katavolos, Ross Littell, and Douglas Kelley for Laverne International.
The maroon saddle leather seat is hung on chromed tube metal legs joined by black enamel flat bar steel stretchers. An iconic and timeless design synonymous with sophisticated post-war New York modernist interior design.
