A PAIR OF REGENCY MAHOGANY HALL CHAIRS ATTRIBUTED TO GILLOWS, c. 1815 For a related mahogany hall chair see Susan E Stuart, Gillows of LANCASTER and LONDON 1730-1840, Antique Collectors' Club, 2008, p203, pl177, whilst the upper back of plate 177 is shell carved the outline and all other features are near identical to this pair of chairs being offered.
