RCA, the Radio Corporation of America, was a powerhouse in the music, radio and television industry. There was hardly a home in America that didn't have a product made by the company. These advertising chairs were placed in the offices and recording studios of the company, and are quite rare today. Because the chairs were heavily used, the leatherette upholstery rarely survived. Ours have good fabric, with bold colored lettering. The chrome shows a great deal of wear, however. The chairs could be taken apart and re-plated, and they would look incredible! We have opted to sell them for a lesser price, as is. The original rear leg glides on one of the chairs has been replaced, as well.
