We are delighted to offer for sale this absolutely stunning fully restored hand dyed whiskey brown leather period Regency Mahogany Chesterfield Porters armchair in the manor of Gillows A very good looking and classily designed Regency piece, this chair has the look of the early Gillows chairs, if you google Regency Gillows armchair you will see what I mean. The look and feel is absolutely timeless, this chair looks wonderful in any setting The front line of stud work is very sculptural and flows effortlessly, the entire back section is cut from one single piece of premium English hide leather, this truly was a no expense spared commission The chair has been fully restored to include being hand dyed this lovely deep cigar brown colour, the hide has natural imperfections and marks from honest use and fair ware, Dimensions Height 102cm Width 76.5cm Depth 51.5cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
