Robert Mallet-Stevens (1886–1945) was a French modernist architect and designer. He believed in simple, functional designs which should be capable of mass production, and these principles are well evoked in his iconic Model 222 tubular chairs. The design was initially created for Mallet-Steven’s kitchen at the Villa Cavrois in the early 1930s but have been in production for decades after their conception. Original Lacquers, canvas and is great vintage condition. Canvas can be reversed for tidier look if desired. Very hard to find in such a prime state.
