About the Item
1950s Original Russell Spanner's "RUSPAN" lounge chair with arms. Original found condition with original hardware and strapping.
The first line of furniture Russell Spanner developed was called "RUSPAN" originals, his furniture line.
Russell Spanner's lounge chair with arms was designed in 1950, originally manufactured by Spanner Products Limited, Toronto, Canada in the 1950s. The finish is of original nutmeg finish, and the frame is constructed of fine grained seignory birch, tapered legs and are attached to the seat with exposed carriage bolts.

The condition of this Mid-Century Modern Russell Spanner "RUSPAN" is in it's found condition as of 1972. We have owned this piece since 1972. It has it's original finish, original hardware, and original strapping as it can be seen in pic 11, with the chair upside down with it's original staples. The strapping is strong and secured. The original vintage exposed carriage bolts are all original to the lounge chair. The nutmeg finish is the original finish with showing of age and use throughout the years. The chair is strong and sturdy. In pic 6 shows an original advertisement from "RUSPAN Original Basic Occasional Pieces" via internet researching.
