About the Item

This pair of easy chairs is exemplary of the main ideals of mid-century modernism: the chairs are characterized by clean, simple lines, honest use of materials, and a lack of unnecessary decorative embellishments. Instead, the focus is on craftsmanship and the clever use of materials. With a clear preoccupation with geometry, this pair’s outstanding architectural frames recalls the mastery of European designers, particularly that of Swedish and Danish architect/designers. The clear lines of the frames contrasts beautifully with the lush texture of the wool blend upholstery and creates an elegant and light appearance.
