About the Item

Set of 6 Gustavian chairs. These are Stockholm pieces signed “IHS” by Johan Hammarström (active 1794–1812), with some bearing the label of the Stockholm Chairmaker’s Guild on the frame. The backs feature decorative bundles of interlinked spindles. Upholstered, padded, and removable seats.
