This rare set of chairs by German-born designer Rainer Daumiller exhibits a sculptural high back of solid pine. Solid in construction, simple in form, and sculptural in expression, their straightforward materiality and robust composition pay tribute to designer Daumiller’s lifelong affinity with nature. The designer’s choice of pine as his material demonstrates a dedication to sustainability that was ahead of its time. Manufactured by Hirtshals Savvaerk in the 1970s, and sold as a set of 6. Set of 6 includes 4 armless Chairs and 2 armchairs.
