Set of Four Designer Mid-Century Upholstered Barrel Back Chairs on Castors

About the Item

Set of 4 mid-century upholstered barrel back chairs on casters. This set was purchased by an interior designer at the Merchandise Mart in Chicago in the early 80's. They were designer chairs sold to the trade only. They were reupholstered once, so the original labels are missing. The owner thought they purchased the chairs (and a table that is featured in a separate listing) at the Karl Springer Showroom. We were not able to authenticate them. The fabric has a cream field with tan and gray (multiple shades of gray) interwoven. The fabric is a lovely high-end selection, the perfect neutral. The chairs are lovely; super comfortable, stable, great neutral (high-end) fabric. These would fit in virtually any interior. They pair perfectly with the round table that they were originally purchased for (see last images). That stunning table is featured in a separate listing.

Reupholstered. Wear consistent with age and use. The chairs were professionally reupholstered by the previous owner. The upholstery job was very well done. The fabric is in very good condition (looks like they were rarely used). The castors are smooth. They look like new.
