Swingdesign Materials: wood, textile Dimensions: 75 x 55,5 x h 88 cm Seat height: 50 cm The rocking chair, invented by Benjamin Franklin, which allows for a rocking motion thanks to the two arches placed at its base, has merged with the director's chair, born in ancient Egypt by an unknown craftsman and later popularized in Hollywood by the masters of cinema. A blend of history and creativity that has given birth to Swing, a functional design element that decorates with style and personality. The Swingdesign folding chair revisits the line of the Director's chair, repurposing it in a "rocking" version. This idea was born with the aim of offering an object that is simple but at the same time design, eye-catching and elegant. Its lines and historically recognized shape reminiscent of the environments of large movie sets make it special and suitable for any decor. Its durable and refined Beech wood body, assembled with stainless steel screws, can be kept natural brushed, painted or customized upon request. The folding rocking frame is combined with seats and backs in raw cotton, colored polyester or leather. In addition to being handy and practical to open and close, the Director's rocking chair is a true icon capable of providing moments of pure relaxation. The Swingsedisgn chair ensures stylish elegance, comfort, convenience and unparalleled sturdiness. Vienna is an extraordinarily comfortable and elegant chair designed by Emmanuel Gallina who loves to quote Brancusi when saying that “simplicity is complexity resolved”. Inspired to the 1950s of Marcel Gascoin, but also to Vienna at the end of the 19th century. A tribute to Alfred Sloan’s American pragmatism joined to European styling and, in this particular case, to the renowned Italian talent constantly aiming to harmonize beauty and functionality. In solid beech and straw, it is a perfect combination between digital machines and handcraft. The structure is in solid beech. The back is in hand-braided Vienna straw fixed in a milling. The padded seat is upholstered and lined in different fabric categories: cotton, felt, linen, eco-leather, wool, velvet or can be coated with C.O.M. fabric.
