Two American Craft Studio Chairs
About the Item
Artisan chairs circa 1960s, in the style of JB Blunk, one carved from a single redwood log, the other from a Cypress log, the taller redwood chair is initialed JB on the leg, with wonderful chip carved decoration on the back. Both are expertly carved with subtle details and sculptural form. Purchased together in the late 1960s at a international Studio Craft exhibition in NYC.
Measurements are for taller chair. Shorter chair is 49.5" high, 14.5" seat height, and approximately 17" diameter.

- Condition:Wear consistent with age and use. Minor structural damages. Good original, with great finish and color. Typical of furniture made from solid logs, both display a split in the seat, with the taller chair showing a much more pronounced separation.
