About the Item
The iconic Variable Balans kneeling chair by Peter Opsvik is instantly recognizable. An industrial designer, Peter Opsvik is known as the foremost designer behind ergonomic seating. The chair is still made today, but this is vintage, recently recovered in a rose pink fabric (and the upholsterer reaffixed the makers mark). On their website, Varier describes "the gentle tilting motion and open angle sitting posture that has remained constant in the 40 years they've produced this chair. The sophisticated kneeling design provides optimal comfort while gently switching between kneeling and the more traditional posture." If you're working from home, the Variable chair fits in nicely with all interiors and serves as an ideal desk chair, the perfect solution between a regular chair and a balance ball. Original good vintage condition.
