This exceptional collection comprises t adjustable longue chaises in a classic white lacquer finish, designed by Po Shun Leong during the 1970s. The renowned Aca chaise lounge design received an honorable mention at the Knoll International Furniture competition in 1972. They can be adjusted into an upright position or laid flat to suit your comfort preferences. Po Shun Leong (1938-2020) was an American artist and designer known for his innovative and sculptural furniture designs. Born in Hong Kong, he immigrated to the United States in the 1960s and studied at the California College of the Arts in Oakland, California. Leong's work is characterized by its striking visual impact and attention to detail, often featuring sculptural forms and unexpected materials. His designs have been exhibited in museums and galleries around the world, including the Smithsonian Institution in Washington D.C. and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. One of Leong's most notable design pieces is the Aca chaise lounge, which he created in 1972. This iconic piece is constructed from fiberglass and features a sleek, curved design that is both elegant and functional. In addition to his work as a furniture designer, Leong was also a respected teacher and mentor. He taught at the California College of the Arts for many years, and his influence can be seen in the work of many of his former students. Po Shun Leong passed away in 2020, leaving behind a legacy of innovative and inspiring design work. His contributions to the world of furniture design continue to be celebrated and admired by art and design enthusiasts around the world.
