BNF chaise chair by Dominique Perrault & Gaelle Lauriot Prevost Materials: nickel-plated metal structure, backrest in doussié-lingué veneer Dimensions: D 64 x W 59 x H 114 cm The new chair of the National Library of France is an important seat, adapted to this prestigious place and designed by Gaelle Lauriot Prevost and Dominique Perrault of DPA. It is in satin nickel-plated metal, with a molded beech seat, covered with dust-lingual wood veneer. COEDITION is a French publisher of high-end contemporary furniture created in 2014. Thanks to the diversity of the languages ??of its international designer's partners, COEDITION is an avant-garde brand, with the concern and the desire for sustainability. Our catalog offers furniture for the home, public places, reception areas, restaurants, hotels. Our raw materials are carefully selected, solid woods and veneers, according to their origins. Dominique Perrault Laureate of the Imperial Premium and member of the Institute, Dominique Perrault, architect, and urban planner, is professor and director of the Underground Architecture Laboratory (SUB LAB) at EPFL, Switzerland. From the National Library of France, his main projects include the Velodrome and the Olympic Swimming Pool in Berlin, the extension of the Court of Justice of the European Union in Luxembourg, the Olympic Tennis Center in Madrid, the Women's University of EWHA in Seoul. Recently, Dominique Perrault inaugurated Austria's tallest tower in Vienna, the DC1 tower, and carried out various heritage rehabilitation and reconversion projects, notably the redevelopment of the Dufour Pavilion at the Château de Versailles and the Îlot de la Poste of the Louvre in Paris, currently under construction. Gaëlle Lauriot-Prévost Interior architect and designer by training, Gaëlle Lauriot-Prevost joined forces with Dominique Perrault in 1989. The interior architectures of the National Library of France and the Court of Justice of the European Communities in Luxembourg are among his most great achievements. The symbiosis born of their complementarity results in perfect mastery of architectural quality, from the urban scale to that of the detail. As artistic director of the agency, her gaze goes beyond the classic fields of design and interior architecture, as demonstrated for example by her work with metal mesh, developed technically and artistically as a material for architecture.
