Danish 1940s Channel Back Club Chair in Lambswool

About the Item

Comfortable, exuberant, and superbly made, these chairs perfectly capture the essence of 1940s Danish design coming out of the late Art Deco era and into the midcentury. The curved backrests and low slung proportions and block feet in beechwood clearly hint at inspiration from Viggo Boesen but the chairs actually match the curved Danish "banana" sofas that were very popular in the 1930-40s. Most likely manufactured in that same span. Perfect newly upholstered condition, covered in a soft and warm 100% Australian merino wool fleece maintaining the look and many of the properties of genuine fur.
