Danish 1940s Club or Lounge Chair
About the Item
Comfortable, exuberant, and superbly made, this chair perfectly captures the essence of 1940s Danish design coming out of the late Art Deco era and into the early midcentury. The curved backrests and low slung proportions clearly hint at inspiration from Viggo Boesen and we often see similar chairs attributed to Boesen. The chair has spring inserts in the seat and the backrest and is solid and sturdy. The chair is in good condition with the fabric showing some wear while still in usable condition. The chair would benefit from getting re-upholstered and we are able to offer re-upholstery services at very competitive prices. We are able to recover the chair in a soft and warm 100% Australian merino wool fleece maintaining many of the properties of genuine fur.
