Fauteuil pour enfant Little easy chair Ron Arad pour Moroso en 1989 recouvert d'une laine rouge. Hauteur : 60 cm, hauteur d'assise : 29 cm, longueur : 80 cm, profondeur 47 cm. Ron Arad est un designer industriel contemporain, un artiste et un architecte israélien. Considéré comme l’un des designers les plus influents de sa génération, Arad est à l’origine de nombreuses innovations dans les domaines de la fabrication rapide et de la technologie intégrée. Né le 24 avril 1951 à Tel Aviv, il fréquente la Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design de Jérusalem, puis s’installe à Londres pour étudier l’architecture. Il perce avec Rover chair (1981), un meuble postmoderne assemblé à partir de métal de casse et de sièges retirés de voitures de la marque Rover. Arad crée des objets pour des marques comme, entre autres, KENZO, Swarovski, et New Eye London. Il fait l’objet d’une grande rétrospective au MoMA de York en 2008, qui montre notamment comment ses meubles sont capables d’envoyer et d’afficher des messages. En 2013, il devient académicien royal de la Royal Academy of Arts. Il vit et travaille à Londres en Angleterre.
