About the Item
Unique hand carved black lacquered wooden daybed made to commission. This daybed was is based on a design by Thomas Hope of a day bed he created for the Brighton Pavillion, England, circa 1815. It features one curved end and another end terminating in a scroll. The carved feet rest on wooden blocks. A truly show stopping, unique and well crafted piece. It features a buttoned dark green velvet cushion.
