This amazing early 19th century hand-carved daybed in bird's-eye maple is in amazing as found condition. The patina is the very best in this bench frame. This early bed can serve as a bench in a window seat or in front of a bed. The turnings are just beautiful. This bench is custom upholstered in a raw silk thick linen of which has a zipper for removing for cleaning. This is a very fine example of New England furniture.
