About the Item

1950’s Baumann Deep Back Honey Dining Chair – Set Of Seven. Baumann is a slightly off the radar French producer just starting to gain traction in the market. Baumann was founded in 1901, by Swiss man Emile Baumann, in Colombier Fontaine, France. Baumann started producing a simple child’s chair but grew rapidly to be a large bentwood producer with showrooms all over France. In our view, the chairs of the 50’s and 60′ are their best, beautifully made and designed. This is a classic elegant model in a rich honey oak colour with beautiful solid deep backs and confident elegant splayed legs, great looking chairs. We have cleaned them, that’s all. If you want an uber stylish chair that you won’t see often this will hit the spot. All of our vintage products show the rich beauty and history of their life with the knocks and bumps of many years of use and we try to minimise restoration to keep every piece as original as possible.
