1960s French Baumann bentwood dove dining chair, set of four
1960s French Baumann bentwood dove dining chair, set of four. The dove chairs is one of Baumann’s most beautiful designs. Baumann is a slightly off the radar French producer just starting to gain traction in the market. Baumann was founded in 1901, by Swiss man Emile Baumann, in Colombier Fontaine, France. Baumann started producing a simple child’s chair but grew rapidly to be a large bentwood producer with showrooms all-over France. In our view the chairs of the 1950s and 1960 are their best, beautifully made and designed. Measures: Seat height 44cm.

All of our vintage products show the rich beauty and history of their life with the knocks and bumps of many years of use and we try to minimize restoration to keep every piece as original as possible.
