About the Item
This is a set of 8 vintage “Strax” dining armchairs, designed by Hartmut Lohmeyer for Casala circa 1970’s.
This early post-modern design features great beech wood arms and legs, has a durable molded plastic backs and seats, and these examples have a greige hopsack upholstery. These pieces stack as well as link if one were to desire a tandem seating situation.
These were manufactured by Casala in West Germany.
They're comfortable and would be great for dining, or for additional seating in the living room or office. They can also easily stack when not in use!
Each chair measures 21 inches deep, 23 inches wide, and is 29 inches tall. They have a seat height of 17.75 inches and an arm height of 25.5 inches.
