About the Item

Fasem makes high-quality seats and complements in metal and leather: objects created by the great masters of design and manufactured by skilled craftsmen. Based in the factory in Tuscany those craftsmen are working with the best materials available on the market. All Fasem products have a personality, they add character and personality to the object by using the best leather for example combined on a ‘invisible’ steel frame. The P40 shows the potential of all Fasem chairs: they are timeless objects made to last forever. Giarcarlo Vegni (1949) studied at Cascina’s art school. From 1968 to 1975 he worked for Ferretti cucine. Vegnidesign is the beginning of his professional career, a carrer full of important collaborations, awards, achievements. With Misura collection by Effeti cucine, Giancarlo signs the first round function block in the kitchen history (1988); the oven called “Duetto” made by Officine Star participates in the selections for the Compasso d’oro (1991). Within kitchen design Vegni also worked on furniture, mostly for dining tables. This P40 dining chair is one of his most well known dining chairs. Now Vegnidesign is a professional team, his works range every field of design, characterized by a neat line and geometric modular forms, the predilection for round shapes, and an exquisit style made in italy appreciated worldwide. A good product is the summary of many convergences. But mainly Vegni looks at the enduser of the product. A design chair should be beautiful but also comfortable like the P40 chair is. This set of 5 pieces is in good condition consistent with age and use.
