About the Item
Made in the United Kingdom in the 19th Century, this set of four chairs is made of wood and features an upholstered cushion. Finished in black, the refined style of these chairs lends them to the dining room, or on their own as a visual accent. The design features a prominent geometry on the chairs’ gridlike backrests, each element embellished with fluted grooves. The carved elements are highlighted by glimmers of brown wood showing from underneath the polished black surface. Updated upholstery, in a striking blue tone, gives a contemporary touch to these storied seats.
