About the Item
A magnificent set of six late 19th-century French dining chairs in the Louis XVI style, sourced from Provence. Expertly hand-crafted from solid walnut, each chair features an elegant square back decorated with intricate inlay and brass fittings. The set has been structurally restored and gently refinished to a rich medium-to-dark brown tone that enhances the natural beauty of the wood grain. All six chairs remain solid and stable, with exceptional joinery throughout. They retain their original cane seats in a warm tan hue, supported by graceful tapered legs terminating in brass sabots. A stunning example of classic French craftsmanship and timeless Louis XVI design.
