An elegant and sturdy solid wood dining chair available in a variety of woods and finishes with floating back, upholstered seat and back by Thomas Hayes Studio. The angle of the back creates good lumbar support. This set is in Bleached Walnut Satin Lacquer with wood plugs, but they are also available with polished brass plugs. Solid brass plugs are available in light patina, dark patina, polished, or brushed, starting at the top and going clockwise. Please refer to the last image to see these options. WOOD OPTIONS: Solid Walnut, Oak, Mahogany (all $1150 COM per chair) Rosewood ($150 more per chair) FINISH OPTIONS: Satin Lacquer or specially formulated Hand-Rubbed Oil in a variety of custom shades. These oil finishes are flat, water proof and penetrate deeply, bonding with the upper fibers of the wood to create a silky surface that feels “finished” but looks like raw wood. Available in Blanched, Pure, Gray, Chocolate, & Charcoal. Price is COM (customer’s own material). Please inquire for fabric or leather availability in stock, or you can provide your own fabric or leather. This item is available for custom order and the lead time is 6-8 weeks; sometimes we are able to complete projects faster, so please contact us to inquire. Bleached Walnut by its very nature will have some significant variations in color, tone and grain pattern, as you can see in the photos. Some areas may be consistent in color, and some areas may have darker figuration, darker small holes or cracks. We believe this variegation in the finish makes it beautiful and unique, but if you are looking for a more consistent light finish, other woods are also available. This design is also available as bar stools or counter stools. Available with pivoting back as well. For any custom pieces with solid wood or wood veneer, we deliberately choose to use beautifully figural wood that may have some irregularities. You can expect much variation in grain and some knots, slight cracks, and small filled knot holes that are naturally occurring in the completed pieces. It is part of our aesthetic and process when making hand crafted pieces to not attempt to hide these natural irregularities that we believe make a piece more beautiful and unique.
