About the Item

Set of 10 Baset Dining chairs in rattan and steel by Gian Franco Legler, 1950s. This timeless chair was designed by Gian Franco Legler for the Italian restaurant “The Basket”. The first 52 chairs were produced by local lock makers and basket braiders. Gian Franco Legler received The Good Design award for the Basket chair design in 1953 by the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) New York. This airy design will fit in any in- and exterior, with the usage of natural materials it brings warmth and character. The chairs are also stackable, which is ideal to store chairs you do not need everyday conveniently. Create your favorite dining area or garden dining with this incredible set!
