About Novo Rumo Francesco Scapinelli, architect, and ceramist, after working for years with his oldest brother, the established designer, Giuseppe Scapinelli, founded Studio Novo Rumo, in São Paulo. Studio Novo Rumo produced furniture at an Industrial scale with excellent quality and materials such as Jacaranda of Bahia, used in many of his best pieces. Sometimes Novo Rumo pieces can be mistaken for L’Ateliers. This is because several L’Atelier employees left L’Atelier to work with Scapinelli at the newly founded Novo Rumo. Novo Rumo pieces have sharply increased in popularity in recent years-being currently styled by many top interior designers around the globe. A quick search online will yield a treasure Trove of these pieces being used in several stunning Mid-Century Modern, modern, or contemporary environments. By owning a vintage piece made of old Jacaranda, you’re not only getting a beautiful collectible but also helping this species to recuperate. This gorgeous set would look great in any mid century modern, modern, contemporary environment used as dining or accent chairs.
