Contemporary Hide Upholstered Walnut and Aluminium Dining Chair
About the Item
The made to order, unique and powerful design of the Toro dining chair/ conference chair, captures the dynamic strength of a wild bull, bringing a whole new energy into any dining room/ conference room. Strong, elegant and graceful with it's tactile woodwork, sculptural aluminium legs and cow hide upholstery, this ergonomic contemporary chair will sit at ease in both classic and modern interiors.
The woodwork of these chairs is individually hand crafted by skilled master craftsman who have a great knowledge of traditional techniques and a profound understanding and respect for the managed forestry timbers that are carefully selected for the furniture.
The aluminium legs are created using high tech CNC machines and then powder coated and polished to a very high standard. All fixings and bolts are A2 stainless steel.
All upholstery is completed using traditional methods and top-quality materials. All the wood work is hand finished using five layers of natural oils. This allows the wood to breathe and encourages a natural oxidization/darkening of the timber.
The over all effect of the chair is enhanced through the relationship of the tactile handcrafted timber, with the high-tech Industrial aluminium elements.
Our aim is to ensure customer satisfaction and to this end we liaise with the client to choose their desired materials. Clients can choose from two timbers; Walnut or Cherry.
For upholstery we recommend fabric/ leather or hide.
The CNC cut aluminium legs can be powder coated and/or polished.
We encourage a strong interaction with our clients through regular updates using images and emails.

I have been designing and making furniture for over 40 years. Through my experiences I have accumulated a comprehensive knowledge of the whole designing and making and process. From sourcing and selecting top quality timbers, to a broad understanding of traditional techniques and skills, through to a wide range of European contacts in complimentary skills and professions. This knowledge and experience allows me the possibility to create unique, statement furniture that delivers beyond clients expectations.
Clients can choose from; American Cherry, European Walnut or American Black Walnut.
Clients can choose fabrics, leather or animal skins for the upholstery.
The aluminium legs can be polished, powder coated or half polished and half powder coated.
