Pair of dining chairs, stained beech, cast iron, The Netherlands, 1970s.
Rustic pair of Dutch dining chairs made in the 1970s. This design in stained beech features a curved cast iron backrest support. Despite the sturdy look of the design, these chairs provide a comfortable seat due to the ergonomic friendly wooden 'seat saddle'. The backrest contains three wooden splats with a rounded shape on the top end. The black lacquered cast iron backrest holds these splats together. Tapered wooden legs complement these chairs.
