Introducing an absolutely arresting contoured dining chair designed by Preben Schou Andersen for Schou Andersen Møbelfabrik, crafted in the 1970s in Denmark. This stunning chair is constructed from solid teak hardwood, showcasing the natural beauty of the wood grains and unique coloration. Schou Andersen Møbelfabrik was a Danish furniture manufacturer, founded in 1919. The company was known for producing high-quality furniture in the Danish Modern style, using materials such as teak, Brazilian rosewood and mahogany. The company is still in operation today based in Vejen, Denmark and has an impressive roster of designers to it's credit including the incomparable and immensely influential Kai Kristiansen.

This elegantly shaped side chair has recently undergone a partial restoration. Originally this was an arm chair however the arms were damaged. Our carpenters removed the arms and repaired the holes with solid teak dowels which, though subtle, can be seen in the detail photos and natural light video provided. With that said the rest of the chair is in original condition and in very good shape for it's age showing only minor nicks and surface scratches (the worst of which can be seen in the detail photos provided).
The original corduroy fabric shows only light areas of discoloration but showing no tears, large stains or odors whatsoever.
This luxurious of dining chair was built for comfort, is structurally sound and ready for a literal lifetime more of use. We love the original fabric as is but if you're interested in having this chair re-upholstered please message us prior to checkout to discuss options and pricing.
