About the Item
A particularly fine set of earlier 20th Century Mahogany Shield Back dining chairs with good solidity and comfort. The chairs with decoratively carved Wheat Sheaf surmounting a delicately ribbed and carved back-splat, tapered leg with Peg foot and bottom stretchers. The single piece seats are upholstered in a warm Coral woven fabric with bird, branch and floral motif in muted Blue, Cream, Saffron Olive and Green tones.
Dimensions: Arm Chair 23.5” wide by 18” deep by 38.5” high. seat height 19”. Arm height 28”.
Side Chair 20.5” wide by 19.5” deep by 38.5” high. Seat height 19”.
Condition: Please see detail photos. Various acceptable signs of age include time softened nicks to the frames, finish losses to the arm surfaces and a few scratches mentioned for accuracy as the presentation is refined and very fine.
