About the Item
An interesting model of mid century bentwood dining chairs. Designed by Radomír Hofman for TON Bystřice pod Hostýnem (Thonet successor in Czechoslovakia after World War 2) . They were made in the former Czechoslovakia in the 1960´s. The chairs are made of bent plywood, have beech wood structure and are upholstered with burgundy leatherette.
An interesting example of Czechoslovak design after the huge success of the Czechoslovak pavilion at Expo 58 in Brussels. The chairs are overall in good Vintage condition, shows signs of age and using(small scratches etc considering their age)
